Spring is a culinary season in Provence for gourmets. Days are longer, light is soft and the weather is almost perfect. People like to gather in the streets, on plazas and to share platters, dishes and sweets. In Camargue for instance, Saturdays are well known for these foodie fests and one can enjoy great food in a joyful atmosphere. Streets are closed to traffic, tables are set, chairs are brought out and food stands operate. For a couple of euros, you can taste Mediterranean savours and Provençale cuisine. A great way to sit back, relax and to better discover the region.
